  • Optimizing Costs and Streamlining Operations: Collaborating closely with the business unit's CTO and CEO, I spearheaded strategic efforts to optimize costs and reduce expenses. From centralizing project related communication in a project management software company wide, to incentivating the cross team communication in order to bridge the gap between iniciatives and roadmaps.

As a digital consultant specialist, I provided development and consultancy services for Smart Software's clients. During my stay, I mainly worked with development of mobile solutions for clients with technologies such as Flutter and ReactNative. Most of my work was done for Cielo, Brazil's largest credit card processing company. There, I worked in the R&D department, where besides being responsible for a small team of developers, I was also the technical lead in innovation projects responsible for testing out new features and concepts.

In 2016, a side project I had for fun became a proper business. A high end cake design studio where I acted not only as chef baker, but also co-owner. From nobody to winning a baking related reality show on TV, creating wedding and birthday cakes for some of the biggest celebrities in Brazil, Cake Studio allowed me to put into practice all my entrepreneurship skills. Late 2018, with a shift in market conditions, faced with the need of switching target audience and going more popular, we decided to sell the bakery.

Responsible for the technology teams, coordinating the development of sites, web-based systems and e-commerce systems. I was responsible for managing the development teams in a number of high-profile projects. Focussed on ensuring that our deliverables had always the highest quality delivered on time, I was always in close alignment with the leadership of other departments. During the last months of 2012, I also worked with closely with the partners in order to retain technology talents as the company decided to split into two separate companies. I also trained and tutored our leading tech manager as a suitable replacement for my position in one of the companies to be formed. I went on to work with one of the partners at VBeta.

As technology director at Sun MRM(McCann's digital branch) I was responsible for directing and re-structuring the technological department to improve the overall deliverables. I created and improved processes to increase quality and speed of deliverables as well as implementing new technology standards. I was also responsible for the technological aspects of an international project for Leroy Merlin, where I worked with french and brazilian based development teams to develop a proof of concept for the company's global standard for it's e-commerce. In August of 2010, W/McCann decided to incorporate the digital operations in-house and I was tasked with the viability study of creating an in-house digital department in W/McCann, a traditional advertising agency with little to none technology tradition (at the time). During this period, I designed the processes and structures required to house their own digital team as well as handling all the day to day outsourcing work in the various projects that were being handled. I was also present in most client meetings as a digital expert, exposing possibilities to clients and designing with them new technology oriented projects.

FizTV was the first television channel made up entirely by user generated content. As technology director and one of the project's creators, I was responsible for the teams that developed a site which allowed users to upload videos, view and rate them. Videos which were bet rated were automatically selected to go live on TV in a number of television programs, and users were paid for premiering on TV. I also handled a series of integrations of the site and television systems, generating onscreen graphics live with information straight from the site. The project was part of a bigger project form Abril called Canais Abril (which included MTV and Ideal TV too) as a way to increase their share of the cable market. I was also technical lead for MTV's site and development teams as well as creating new processes for internal engineering teams increasing overall efficiency and cost of the operation.

As technology manager and senior developer, I was responsible for the front-end, back-end and Flash(motion) teams, ensuring quality and timely deliveries of projects. I was also responsible for helping the creative process, always focusing on pushing the envelope to ensure that we were producing innovative and ground-breaking work. During this period, Euro RSCG 4D won several advertising awards for projects in Cannes. In March 2007, the partners at Euro RSCG decided to create a spinoff agency named Sinc. During this transition period, I was responsible for talent retention in the technology teams. During this period, I worked closely with the partners, planning and orchestrating the transition between companies.

I started Doutromundo with two other partners as a specialized solution provider for advertising agencies. My company would provide development and consulting services for advertising agencies, creating web-sites, systems, CD-Roms and a slew of other Digital products. During this period, I was responsible for all technology aspects of the company, ranging from internal systems and infrastructure to client services. In 2004 we created a spin-off company, based on a product we developed internally. Domail, a highly customizable and efficient e-mail marketing tool was developed to and adapted to suit advertising agencies very specific needs. The tool allowed delivery of e-mail marketing campaigns following international best practices to avoid spamming and unwanted e-mails.

I was a Vignette 5 TCL programmer and front-end developer, responsible for leading a team to develop a number of applications designed to increase the popularity of the portal Globo.com. As one of Brazil's leading communication companies, Globo wanted to be in the top 3 highest ranked portals in Brazil. Our projects included several verticals such as online games, gossip sites and sports sites to name a few. The goal was to place Globo.com in the top 3 ranked sites in a year, we achieved the goal in seven months. Globo decided then to move their development offices to Rio de Janeiro and closed their operations in São Paulo. I decided decline the relocation offer and remain in São Paulo due to personal reasons.

Transburti Network

Transburti Network was a fully functional laboratory for high bandwidth internet. At the time, there was no broad band in Brazil, and the best connection was 256KBPs - we offered our connections at 10Mb over a private optic-fiber network. The extranet connected, via optic fiber, the main advertising agencies in Brazil with a number of suppliers and services. The goal was to allow them to experience what was to come over the next few years and get a head start, experimenting and developing services. There were also a series of integrated tools to make their day to day more efficient, from advertising space auctions, instant messengers, high speed file transfers, online plane ticket purchases, my team and I developed a huge number of applications and solutions that were ground breaking at the time, including the first online plane booking system and a media auction site for selling adverts in magazines.

I started at Impex as a CD-ROM developer, working with Macromedia Director. I a lead programmer in the CD Nossa Língua Portuguesa - until today, the highest grossing CD-ROM developed in Brazil. Besides working with CD-ROMs, Impex also started working with the development of sites. I quickly became involved with web-development and there I produced Brazil's first e-commerce for C&A (a clothes store similar to H&M), as well as a number of ground-breaking sites for a large number of clients embracing new technologies and processes. I dealt with Perl, ASP, Java, JavaScript, Flash, and pretty much anything else that was going on in those times, always focused on acquiring new knowledge and searching for edge technologies. During my years at Impex, I gradually started managing other developers and teams and took on the role of manager.
